CAR CRASH: Woman killed on Highway 101 accident

Petaluma – A 20-year-old woman suffered fatal injuries after her car crashed on Highway 101, Thursday evening.
Alysia Beaty of Berkeley was driving her 2005 Dodge Neon along the northbound lane of Highway 101 when, for unknown reasons, she lost control of her vehicle, veered off the road and hit a tree by the roadside.
The solo occupant of the vehicle was wearing her seat belt when the accident happened near San Antonio Road, California Highway Patrol Officer John Phillips said.
The accident is still under investigation.
According to Phillips, excessive speeding may have been a contributing factor to the accident.
