August 22, 2010

Wildomar – One woman was killed and two others were injured Sunday morning after a car collision involving a Nissan sedan and a Toyota Yaris on Bundy Canyon Road in Wildomar, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.

The woman, who drove the Nissan, died at the scene of the accident, while two occupants of the Yaris were taken to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment.

According to reports, the woman lost control of her vehicle, which swerved on the road, and ended up spinning on the opposite lane along the path of the oncoming Yaris. Reports said the Nissan was split in half, killing the woman driver.

Authorities closed Bundy Canyon Road for almost six hours while clearing the accident scene.
