CAR ACCIDENT: Will & Grace Star Megan Mullaly Faces Lawsuit over Car Accident
February 21, 2011
Los Angeles - Ex- Will and Grace star Megan Mullaly was sued over a crash that occurred in Beverly Hills two years ago.
Megan Mullaly has faced a lawsuit for allegedly running on red light, and colliding onto a Mercedes car that happened in September 16, 2009, according to reports.
Reports said that Wendy Kim has presented documents in Los Angeles District court, and asserted $15,000 as damages.
The Hollywood comedienne has refused to pay the settlement amount, and insisted that the traffic light was yellow when she entered the intersection. Mullaly contested that Kim's own negligent act caused the crash, leading to her own injuries and losses.
According to reports, both women suffered minor injuries in the 2009 crash, but Kim's Mercedes had most of the front damage. Kim has demanded payment for the cost of car repair and medical expenses.
Mullaly is expected to show up on April 11, 2011 for the next hearing.
Mullaly has been known for her award-winning TV sitcom performance in Will and Grace as “Karen Walker” from 1998 to 2006. She received two Emmy Awards as best supporting actress and three Screen Actors awards as best actress in a comedy series.
She is also known as a veteran theater singer and performer in Chicago. She currently stars as "Chief" in the hit series Children's Hospital.
