CAR ACCIDENT: Teenager Hospitalized after Benicia Car Accident

Benicia – A 16-year-old teenager suffered facial injuries Thursday morning after the car he was riding in crashed into a parked construction truck on Linda Vista Street, Benicia, the authorities said.

According to reports, the victim was riding a Ford Expedition being driven by another teenager at about 7:46 am when it crashed into the truck along the eastbound lane of Linda Vista Street. Both teenagers were students from Benicia High School.

The driver told the Benicia Fire Department that he was not able to see the truck because he was blinded by the sun. He was not hurt.

The victim, who was not wearing his seatbelt during the accident, was brought to the hospital for treatment.
