BICYCLE ACCIDENT: Teenage Cyclist Dies in Alameda Intersection Crash

Alameda-- A 13-year-old boy was killed after a SUV hit him at Santa Clara and Everett Avenue on Monday at 3:50 p.m.
Police said Brandon Sorensen was cycling at the intersection when a SUV struck him. The SUV driver stopped and administered CPR to the young boy. The teenager was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Students at Lincoln Middle School expressed their grief over Sorensen's death. Alameda police officers are still investigating the details on the cause of accident.
