CAR COLLISION: Teen Dies after Fleeing Driver Crashes into Car

San Jose - A 15-year-old girl died after a driver being chased by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) struck the car she was riding in.
According to reports, the chase started when Bernardino Cuevas, 24, continued to move after he made an illegal turn.
During the chase, Cuevas allegedly did not stop at a red light and broadsided a Mitsubishi Mirage that was carrying the teen, her 12-year-old brother, 35-year-old mother, and 6-year-old sister.
Reports said the teen was ejected from the car. She was announced dead the following day.
Meanwhile, the two children are in a stable condition and their mother suffered from back and neck pain.
Authorities found out that there was a felony warrant for Cuevas’s arrest while conducting an investigation.
