CAR ACCIDENT: Riverside Fatal Car Accident Kills Three People Including 3-Year-Old Girl

March 10, 2010

Riverside – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the fatal car accident that claimed the life of three people including a 3-year-old girl last night.

According to CHP, Donald Graves, 30, of Hemet was driving a Chevy Malibu on the eastbound lane of Florida Avenue along Highway 74 with her 3-year-old daughter Dakota at about 5:00 pm when the car drifted into the westbound lane then collided with a Honda Accord.

Graves and the Accord’s driver, Andrew Huizar, 20, of Apple Valley, both died at the scene.

Dakota, who was in a backward facing car seat, was taken to Hemet Valley Medical Center where she died of her injuries.

Both cars were running at approximately 55mph during the collision and there were skid marks made by the Honda that showed signs of turning.

CHP is looking at a possible unsafe turning maneuver by Graves as cause of the accident but has not confirmed it yet.

There were no signs of intoxication found on both drivers.
