Los Angeles - The California Highway Patrol has reported an increase in traffic crashes following the heavy rains that triggered flooding and a series of accidents.
Reports mentioned of a truck that fell from Interstate 5 onto a city street in Mission Hills. Another accident was also reported, involving another truck that went over a bridge and overturned on Laurel Canyon Boulevard that also hit a pole.
There were also reports of stalled vehicles in northbound Sepulveda Boulevard tunnel at the LAX, which need heavy-duty tow trucks to get the stalled cars out of the tunnel.
The heavy rains also flooded 10 Freeway and caused crashes that resulted in traffic congestion on the northbound 5 Freeway.
