Car Accident: Police Investigates Alcohol Involvement in Fatal Head-On Collision

Corcoran- Authorities are investigating whether alcohol is a factor in a deadly head-on collision along Highway 137.
According to reports, a 1991 Toyota driver who was traveling eastbound suddenly swerved, went into the westbound lanes, and collided with a 2002 Nissan that was being driven by Eric Edward Cole, 32, from Corcoran.
The suspected drunk Toyota driver was killed in the accident. His passenger who was identified as Patty Castro, 24, from Porterville, was brought to Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Fresno to be treated for facial cuts.
Cole sustained a broken leg and was brought to the same hospital along with his passengers Keidra Thomas, 28, Joseph Cole, 27, and Paula Espinoza, all from Corcoran.
