CAR ACCIDENT: Palo Alto Man Seriously Injured in Highway 101 Single-Car Crash

Palo Alto - A 24-year-old man suffered serious injuries after a single car accident on San Antonio Road on Friday at 5:52 a.m.
The man was traversing the San Antonio Road when he lost control on the wheels, and struck a tree and a light pole. The crash caused heavy traffic on U.S. Highway 101, and westbound lanes were shut till 12 noon, Los Angeles Police officers said.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed him to Stanford Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, reports said.
Police reports said that the rain-slick pavement might have caused the car to swerve and the driver to eventually lost control on the wheels. Details on the accident are still under investigation.
