CAR ACCIDENT: One killed and several others injured after car crash in Vernon

Vernon – A motorist was killed and three others were injured after being involved in a multiple car crash along 710 Freeway Sunday.
The collision occurred near Atlantic Boulevard at around 1:00 a.m., according to CHP Officer Krystal Carter. The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
According to a camera crew that witnessed the accident, a man died when he was ejected out of his vehicle and struck by oncoming traffic. The man was later identified as Jeremy Williams, 24, of Downey.
Three or four people were taken to hospitals after suffering injuries. Their current condition is still unknown. The same camera crew reported that two people were arrested for suspicion of DUI.
Both directions of 710 Freeway and the Atlantic Boulevard offramp were closed after a SigAlert was issued at 1:44 am. Southbound lanes were reopened at 3:29 a.m., while northbound lanes were reopened at 5:00 a.m.
