CAR COLLISION: Minor Accident Leads to Arrest of Armed Motorist

Madera County – Authorities have arrested a man on charges of attempted murder after he chased and fired his gun at another motorist following a minor collision.
The police said the suspect who was in his 40’s, was driving a van, was also slapped with other charges which include possession of firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia and controlled substance.
Reports said the accident occurred near a market at Avenue 132/2 and Wood Street at around 7 pm Monday. A car driver said he accidentally bumped into a van while backing up.
The suspect, who was in van, responded by bumping onto his car and the car driver fled after seeing that the man was carrying a gun. Despite that, the van pursued the car.
The suspect was later arrested when the car driver stopped near a police headquarters.
