Intersection Accident: Lompoc Woman Hospitalized after Intersection Car Collision
June 2, 2011
Lompoc – A 44-year-old female driver suffered moderate injuries Thursday morning after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Broadway and Betteravia Roads, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to authorities, Nellie Aragon, 44, was heading to the intersection when another vehicle, driven by 32-year-old Dharmesh Patel, crashed into her car. Aragon suffered non-life threatening injuries and was brought to Marian Medical Center for treatment.
Police reports that Patel ran a red light at the intersection, which led to the collision with Aragon’s car. He was taken into custody and booked into Santa Barbara County Jail.
Investigators believed alcohol was a factor in the accident.
