ROLLOVER ACCIDENT: Fleeing Driver Sought in Interstate 80 Rollover Crash

Sacramento – Authorities are looking for the driver who fled on foot and was believed to be responsible for the Interstate 80 rollover crash early Tuesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports indicate that the hit-and-run driver of a pick-up truck was speeding on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 when he collided with a minivan at around 4 am. Both vehicles overturned and the pick-up driver, who appeared injured, fled the scene.
Authorities rescued the five occupants of the minivan, including two children, who were all injured.
The area between Watt Avenue and Auburn Boulevard exits was closed for some time as authorities investigated and cleared debris of the accident.
