CAR COLLISION: Female officers and woman injured after collision

Sacramento – Two female officers were taken to the hospital after a sports utility vehicle struck their police cruiser along the southbound lane of Interstate 5 near Highway 50 interchange.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the officers responded and assisted to a non-injury collision that happened around 8 p.m. of Tuesday which involved two Honda vehicles.
Police spokesman Sgt. Norm Leong said that the police arrived at the scene before 8:30 and pulled over the right shoulder. Before they had the chance to get out of the car, an SUV driven by an unidentified woman lost control and hit the rear quarter panel of the cruiser’s driver’s side.
All three women complained of pain and were then taken to the hospital.
