PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Elderly Pedestrian Dies when Hit by Vehicle in Porterville

Porterville - A 64-year-old male pedestrian from Porterville died after being hit by a vehicle while pushing a shopping cart, said reports.
According to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, the man was hit by a vehicle driven by Jair B. Rodriguez, 19, also from Porterville, while he was walking westbound along Avenue 152, on the eastbound lane west of Cedar Road.
The driver was moving east on Avenue 152 when the accident occurred at around 5:50 am.
Authorities have not yet released information regarding the pedestrian’s identity.
