Car Accident: El Sereno Head-On Collision Kills one, Injures Another

Los Angeles – Authorities are investigating a head-on collision in El Sereno that killed one person and injured another last night.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division, the two-vehicle accident occurred in East Avenue at about 10:12 in the evening.
The driver of the northbound vehicle died at the scene while the driver of the southbound vehicle was brought to a nearby hospital after sustaining minor abrasions.
According to broadcast reports, responding firefighters had to work on the wreckage to free one of the drivers.
The collision happened about 100 yards from Klamath Place and just a half mile off of Huntington Drive.
Police are still trying to find out the cause of the car accident and who of the two drivers drifted to the other’s lane and initiated the collision.
