CAR ACCIDENT: Drunk Man on Wheelchair Injured in North Park

San Diego – A 50-year-old man was taken to a hospital after he was hit by a sedan while he was on his wheelchair in North Park early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The unidentified man appeared intoxicated. Police reports said he was leaving University Avenue between parked vehicles at around 2 a.m. when he was struck by a westbound Honda driven by a woman who was not reported to be harmed.
The man’s leg was critically injured as he was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.
