DUI-RELATED CAR ACCIDENT: Drunk Driver Hits and Injures CHP Officer

San Jose – A California Highway Patrol officer was reportedly injured after a suspected drunk driver drove into a stranded vehicle early Friday morning, authorities said.
According to reports, the unidentified officer was assisting a stranded motorist around 1:40 am after his pick-up truck got stuck in the mud on Interstate 880.
The pick-up truck was said to be hit by a Lexus which, in turn, hit the CHP officer.
The driver of the Lexus was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
