BICYCLE ACCIDENT: Driver Charged with Drunk-Driving After Hitting Cyclists

Baldwin Hills – A female driver has been charged with misdemeanor drunk driving by authorities after she ran into a group of cyclists Thursday morning, 1:50 a.m., at Baldwin Hills area, reports said.
According to Los Angeles Police spokesman Richard French, suspect Christine Dahab, 27 years old and a resident of Los Angeles, was being held early Thursday in the lieu of $15,000 bail.
Dahab allegedly drove into the group of cyclists who were waiting for other members of the group to join them after stopping at a scenic look at Jefferson Boulevard. Officials said that 11 cyclists were injured and one was in critical condition.
The cyclists were believed to be part of Midnight Ridazz which organizes after-dark rides. It is possible that about 100 cyclists were taking part on the event when the accident occurred.
