Car Crashes into Lake Forest Ice Cream Shop

Lake Forest – The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a crash involving a car that plowed through the entrance of an ice cream shop.
The crash was reported at about 11:22 am when a female driver from Laguna Woods was about to back out of a parking spot but instead hit the gas and bolted forward.
The car crashed into the glass doors of Cold Store Creamery near the intersection of El Toro Road and Raymond Avenue.
According to a Sheriff’s Department official, the store was vacant so no one was injured in the collision.
However, the car crash shattered the shop’s glass door and pushed the door’s frame out of place.
No one was cited at the scene.
