CAR ACCIDENT: Car Crash Involving a Corvette Kills 4 People in Van Nuys

May 6, 2010

Van Nuys – A single-car crash involving a Chevrolet Corvette has killed four people when it crashed and rolled over multiple times across train tracks in Roscoe Boulevard this early morning.

According to Los Angeles Police, the Corvette was travelling eastbound along Roscoe Boulevard at very high speed around midnight when it crashed and skidded along a set of railroad tracks.

The sports car flipped multiple times and the two men and a woman were ejected from the vehicle.

The body of the female driver was pinned inside what was left of the Corvette.

Body parts and debris were scattered from Balboa to approximately 250 yards west of Hayvenhurst and along the train tracks.

Initial investigations show that the Corvette was not racing or involved in a chase before the crash.

However, they believe that alcohol was a factor and that the Corvette was moving in very high speed.

Roscoe Boulevard was closed by police between Hayvenhurst and balboa Boulevard.

The railroad track that crosses Roscoe was also closed after the incident.

LAPD with the Valley Traffic Division are still investigating the car accident.
