CAR ACCIDENT: CHP Officer Injured in Car Accident while Chasing Suspect

Alameda - A California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer was injured in a car accident that occurred while he was chasing a suspect along a residential area in Hayward, said reports.
According to authorities, the officer was chasing a silver sedan along Cottage Park Drive when the suspect’s vehicle tried to ram the patrol car, causing it to crash into a house.
The sedan driver tried to flee after the accident, but was captured by the authorities.
Reports said the injured officer was not the sole occupant of the cruiser at the time of the accident. He was rushed to the hospital to receive medical treatment for a head injury.
The house, which was unoccupied at that time, sustained little damage as a result of the accident.
