ROLLOVER ACCIDENT: Arizona Man Killed in Rollover Crash in Amboy

Mojave Desert – An Arizona man was killed in a single-car crash Wednesday morning in rural Amboy, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred along Amboy Road and Twentynine Palms, six miles south of National Trails Highway at around 3:50 am. San Bernardino County Coroner identified the driver and lone occupant of the car as Dennis Smelser, 29, of Bullhead City.
According to reports, Smelser lost control of his car upon entering a curve. His 1997 Infiniti rolled several times and he was ejected out of it, as he was not wearing his seatbelt. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene an hour after the accident.
The sedan sustained massive front-end damage. The CHP is investigating the accident.
