CAR ACCIDENT: Actress Reese Witherspoon Resting at Home after LA Accident

Los Angeles- Actress Reese Witherspoon was comfortably resting at home after a pedestrian accident in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, the Legally Blonde icon was jogging along Los Angeles when a car failed to stop and struck her at the crosswalk. The driver, 84-year-old, was travelling at 20 mph when the accident occurred. Witherspoon was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The Golden Globe-winning actress sustained a minor cut on her forehead and was released at the hospital the same day. The elderly driver was cited for a moving violation. Witherspoon has not filed any complaint against the driver, reports said.
Reports said the actress is resting at home and is expected to pursue her upcoming film, This Means War and Mud. Witherspoon is well-known for her role as “Elle Woods” in Legally Blonde and “Melanie Carmichael” in Sweet Home Alabama. She received Academy Award and Golden Globe Best Actress awards for her role as “June Carter Cash” in Walk the Line in 2005.
