CAR ACCIDENT: 8-Vehicle Crash Injures Four, Causes Road Closure

Costa Mesa- At least four people sustained injuries and all lanes along southbound Newport Beach were closed following a crash that may have been caused by a speeding driver.

According to reports, authorities and five ambulances were sent to 19th Street and Newport Boulevard to provide assistance to the people involved in the incident.

A witness stated that a speeding vehicle may have caused the accident, said police.

The extent of injuries sustained is currently unknown but is believed to be non-life threatening.

Police said one person was treated at the accident area and three others were brought to a hospital.
