CAR ACCIDENT: 2 Killed when Car Crashes into Sign Pole in San Pablo

San Pablo- At least two people have died after the car they were riding in swerved off Interstate 80 and smashed into a sign pole, said California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers.
According to reports, a westbound 1990 Lexus sedan was moving towards San Pablo Dam Road when it suddenly crossed the shoulder, went over a dirt embankment, and struck a sign pole.
Authorities said the driver died upon impact. Meanwhile, a passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle. The passenger was announced dead at a hospital.
The identity of the victims has not yet been released by the authorities due to pending family notification.
