DUI Accident: 2 Injured in Collision after Suspected DUI Car Accident

Round Mountain – At least two persons suffered injuries late Tuesday night after an alleged drunk driving-related accident along Highway 299E in Road Mountain, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to the report, a 20-year-old female driver was driving under the influence (DUI) when her car swerved and crossed the road’s center divider at around 11 pm. Her vehicle then collided head-on with an oncoming truck, driven by a 22-year-old man.
Both drivers suffered injuries and were taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. The suspected DUI driver is listed under critical condition Wednesday, while the other driver was released.
